Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Park Cheolhong, hereafter referred to as Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae) announced on the 10th that it has delivered a donation of 5.15 million won, raised through the 'Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign Sarangui Ondotap' fundraising activity, to the Gwangju Social Welfare Center.
The donation ceremony was attended by Kim Younggi, President of the Gwangju Social Welfare Council, Kim Sungyun, Senior Vice President, Park Sara, Vice President, and Park Heungcheol, Secretary General of Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae, among others.
This donation is part of the 'Raising the Gwangju Sarangui Ondotap' campaign. The funds raised will be used for education and training expenses for social welfare institution workers through the Gwangju Metropolitan City Social Welfare Council.
Park Heungcheol, Secretary General of Gwangju Community Chest of Korea, said, "Giving makes me valuable and makes the world warmer," and added, "Thanks to the cooperation of social welfare workers, many companies, and citizens in this campaign, we were able to exceed the fundraising goal of 100 degrees."
Kim Younggi, President of the Gwangju Social Welfare Council, emphasized, "It was possible to spread the culture of sharing and reaffirm warm solidarity in the community because we worked together with the spirit of mutual help, especially in difficult times," and added, "The Gwangju Social Welfare Council will continue to cooperate with social welfare institutions to ensure that citizens in need do not lose hope and can live strong lives by putting love into practice."
