Damyang County, South Jeolla Province, announced on the 10th that it will completely waive the issuance fee (previously 200 KRW) for resident registration certificates and abstracts issued through unmanned civil service kiosks.
According to the county, a total of 119 types of certificates in 14 categories can be issued from the unmanned civil service kiosks, among which resident registration certificates and abstracts are the most frequently issued.
To enhance administrative efficiency, provide high-quality public services, and reduce the burden on residents, the county has partially revised the 'Damyang County Ordinance on the Collection of Fees for Various Certificates,' exempting the issuance fee for resident registration certificates and abstracts.
County Governor Lee Byungno said, "I am pleased that residents can now be exempted from even small issuance fees," and added, "We will continue to provide civil service administration that prioritizes resident convenience above all."
Meanwhile, Damyang County operates 13 unmanned civil service kiosks year-round and is working to provide inclusive civil service access for all residents by replacing two outdated kiosks to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities.
