Nonsan City and Daemyung Grinding Co. Sign 10 Billion KRW Investment Agreement

Nonsan City, Chungnam Province, announced on the 10th that it had signed an investment agreement worth 10 billion KRW with Daemyung Abrasive Co., Ltd. at the Chungnam Provincial Government Office.

Since its founding in 1995, Daemyung Abrasive has devoted itself exclusively to the field of abrasive paper for over 30 years, succeeding in localizing abrasive paper that previously relied on imports, and now exports its products to over 30 countries.

According to the agreement, Daemyung Abrasive will relocate its first factory in Sejong City to the Dongsan General Industrial Complex in Yeonmu-eup.

The company also plans to invest 10 billion KRW in facilities and newly hire about 20 employees.

Mayor Baek Seonghyeon stated, "Nonsan is breaking away from old frameworks and repeatedly pursuing innovative administration to create a business-friendly environment. We will continue to support the growth of companies through proactive administration and will spare no administrative support with the attitude of managing together until the end."

Meanwhile, since the launch of the 8th popularly elected administration, Nonsan City has been seeking new changes through the national defense and military supply industries. Within the Nonsan National Defense Industrial Complex, scheduled to begin construction early next year, 190,000 pyeong has been designated as a Special Opportunity Development Zone, attracting attention from companies related to the defense industry.
