Yoon Sang-hyun: "Reviving tvN's Wednesday-Thursday Dramas"
"Expanding Investments in New Concepts and Genres Without Reservation"

CJ ENM, which has showcased diverse content, has announced a volume offensive to mark the 30th anniversary of its cultural business launch. This year, it plans to increase its content investment scale and present the largest number of works ever.

CJ ENM's 30th Anniversary Marked by Content Offensive: "65 Titles to Be Released Within the Year"

On the 10th, at the 'CJ ENM Content Talk 2025' held at the Sangam Center building in Mapo-gu, Seoul, Yoon Sang-hyun, CEO of CJ ENM, stated, "We plan to expand the investment scale, which has been sustained at around 1 trillion won annually, by more than 150 billion won this year," adding, "We will release a record-high sixty-five pieces of content within the year." He continued, "In the second half of the year, we will revive tvN's Wednesday-Thursday dramas and expand investments in new concepts and genres without reservation so that viewers can encounter fresh works."

The drama and entertainment lineup revealed that day included many anticipated works. These include the drama 'Someday, the Wise Resident Life,' set to be released in April, the entertainment show 'Ppyongppyong Earth Arcade 3,' the drama 'Annoying Love' starring Lee Jung-jae and Im Ji-yeon, and 'Typhoon Company' starring Lee Junho and Kim Min-ha. The drama 'Signal,' which aired in 2016 and was greatly loved, will return after nine years as 'Signal 2.' 'Signal' writer Kim Eun-hee will write the script, and Kim Hye-soo, Lee Je-hoon, and Cho Jin-woong will reprise their roles.

The volume offensive could be a kind of gamble, as the content industry is facing more difficulties than ever. While acknowledging the challenging reality, CEO Yoon emphasized, "We have persevered through countless hardships over the past 30 years. We will not remain in the past 30 years but will continue to move forward vigorously."

CJ ENM appears to be seeking solutions overseas. It views the global expansion of the online video service (OTT) platform TVING as the start of a full-scale offensive. Min Seon-hong, Chief Content Officer (CCO) of TVING, said, "We will make this year the inaugural year of TVING's global expansion and embark on full-scale growth."
