Appropriateness of Request Processing and Analysis of Customer Demand
Miryang City in Gyeongnam announced on the 10th that it received a score of 93.44 in the ‘2024 Comprehensive Information Disclosure Evaluation’ conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, achieving an excellent rating for the second consecutive year.
The Comprehensive Information Disclosure Evaluation is conducted annually by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety targeting 553 institutions nationwide, including central administrative agencies, local governments, education offices, and public institutions, to enhance the public's right to know and administrative transparency.
The evaluation criteria consist of 11 indicators across five areas: prior information disclosure, original document disclosure, request processing, customer management, and system operation.
In this evaluation, Miryang City scored 93.44 points, which is 4.77 points higher than the previous year and 3.65 points above the average for basic local governments (cities), achieving an ‘excellent’ rating for the second consecutive year following 2023.
In particular, the city received high scores in information disclosure request processing and customer management, and achieved outstanding scores exceeding the average of basic local governments (cities) in all five areas.
Mayor An Byung-gu stated, “Achieving an excellent rating for two consecutive years is the result of efforts to guarantee the public’s right to know and secure transparency in administrative operations,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to improve administrative trust through providing high-quality information and operating transparent and responsible systems.”
