A KEPCO official explained, "The global energy market is rapidly changing, and the financial crisis situation continues, leading to a sharp increase in electricity demand due to artificial intelligence (AI) and data centers, as well as the expansion of renewable energy, which is increasing uncertainty in the power system day by day. Accordingly, KEPCO plans to enhance the efficiency and benefits of power supply while innovating core technology development and business models across the entire value chain to leap beyond Korea and become the world's top utility company."
To realize this new vision, KEPCO has set four strategic directions reflecting a roadmap for the next 10 years: ▲Advancement of core business ▲Diversification of revenue structure ▲Leading ecosystem innovation ▲Maximizing organizational efficiency, and established the '2035 Mid-to-Long-Term Strategy' based on these.
Through this, KEPCO aims to grow into a global energy company with sales of 127 trillion won, total assets of 199 trillion won, overseas and growth business sales of 20 trillion won, and a total workforce of 26,000 employees.
KEPCO President Kim Dong-cheol said, "We have begun the journey to achieve the new vision," adding, "All employees will unite and do their utmost to enhance public benefits and drive innovative growth in the energy ecosystem."
