Gwangju Buk-gu Launches Permanent Sharing Market on the 11th
Receives Over 2,000 Donated Uniforms... Proceeds to Be Donated to Scholarship Foundation
Gwangju Buk-gu will begin year-round operation of its School Uniform Sharing Market starting from the 11th.
According to the district on the 10th, this event, held at the permanent School Uniform Sharing Market in Usan-dong, Buk-gu, has been operated annually since 2015 to ease the financial burden on parents preparing for the new school year and to promote a culture of resource sharing.
On this day, in addition to the 1,800 school uniforms from 34 middle and high schools already in stock, an additional 2,200 uniforms will be donated. Jackets will be sold for 5,000 KRW, and pants, shirts, and vests for 3,000 KRW, along with each school’s sportswear and daily wear at affordable prices.
The market will operate on weekdays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Throughout February, it will also be available for self-service based on kiosks from 10 a.m.
In addition, any middle and high school students and parents in Buk-gu can use the market, and all proceeds from uniform sales will be donated at the end of the year to the Buk-gu Scholarship Foundation and the Community Chest of Korea.
