Galaxia Moneytree announced on the 10th that it will attend the 42nd Asean+3 Bond Market Forum (ABMF), held in Seoul from today until the 13th.
ABMF was established in September 2010 by the finance ministers of the 10 member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) along with China, Japan, and Korea. The forum aims to integrate the Asian bond market through the standardization of regional bond-related systems and practices.
More than 100 experts from major financial institutions and IT vendors, including ministries of finance, central banks, securities market regulatory agencies, central securities depositories, stock exchanges, and financial market associations, attend the ABMF held three times annually. This ABMF is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Korea (KMOEF), Yonsei University, and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
At this forum, Galaxia Moneytree will present its innovative financial service, the country's first "blockchain-based aircraft engine lease-related trust beneficiary certificate investment platform service." This service involves placing the actual aircraft engine in trust, issuing trust beneficiary certificates electronically registered, and distributing them to investors through the platform.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, recently, not only aircraft but also various aircraft parts including engines have become available for lease, and more than 50% of commercial and cargo aircraft of global airlines use leased engines. However, there are difficulties in timely engine supply due to high engine lease costs and shortages of popular models.
In response, Galaxia Moneytree plans to launch the "aircraft engine lease non-monetary trust beneficiary certificate service" as a token security-linked fractional investment product by securing aircraft spare engines and providing them to domestic airlines. This is explained to offer cost reduction and operational stability to airlines while providing investors with opportunities for stable profit generation.
Lee Ju-sik, head of the STO business team at Galaxia Moneytree, who participated in the forum, said, "It is meaningful to introduce the aircraft engine lease non-monetary trust beneficiary certificate business model, which is being attempted for the first time, to global financial market experts," adding, "We are accelerating the business to quickly issue the first aircraft engine non-monetary trust beneficiary certificate."
