Woori Asset Management Surpasses 50 Trillion KRW in Net Assets... Steps Up as a Major Comprehensive Asset Management Firm

Woori Asset Management's net asset size has surpassed 50 trillion KRW.

Woori Asset Management announced on the 10th that as of the 7th, its net assets recorded 50.5667 trillion KRW.

Woori Asset Management steadily grew its asset size based on excellent management performance. Last year, the ‘Woori High Plus Bond’ fund, the largest domestic public fund, contributed to the increase in assets under management by surpassing 2 trillion KRW in net assets. The ‘Woori Short-Term Bond’ fund increased its net assets by nearly 1 trillion KRW over the year, proving the market’s evaluation of it as a ‘bond powerhouse.’

After merging with Woori Global Asset Management in January last year and expanding its business into alternative investments, Woori Asset Management secured a lineup of traditional and alternative investment products, emerging as a comprehensive asset management company. In March of the same year, CEO Choi Seung-jae, an expert in alternative investments and global fields, was appointed, accelerating business synergy and external growth. Through alternative assets and new growth businesses, the company achieved significant results from the first year of the merger by expanding assets under management and improving profitability.

Woori Asset Management attracted market attention with differentiated strategies. The ‘WON US Billionaire ETF,’ launched after last year’s ETF rebranding, is the first domestic ETF to follow the investment strategies of US billionaires and has recorded a rise of over 30% since its listing. The ‘Woori Really Easy US IPO Fund,’ the first domestic fund to invest in the US IPO market, also achieved assets under management exceeding 100 billion KRW within three months.

Woori Asset Management CEO Choi Seung-jae said, "Surpassing 50 trillion KRW in net assets is the result of Woori Asset Management continuously providing differentiated management strategies and stable performance," adding, "We will continue to strengthen our competitiveness based on customer trust and leap forward as a comprehensive asset management company providing innovative investment solutions."
