Equipped with a New Drive System
Maximum Output Up 40%, Maximum Torque Up 75%
Volkswagen Korea announced on the 10th that it will sequentially begin customer deliveries of the all-electric SUV '2025 ID.4.'
Developed as a flagship strategic model following the Beetle and Golf under the strategy of 'Electric Cars for Everyone,' the ID.4 has recorded the highest sales among the group's brand electric vehicles alongside the ID.5.
The 2025 ID.4 features a significantly enhanced driving performance with an efficient drive system, and user convenience has been improved through new advanced specifications such as the new infotainment system and the voice assistant 'DA.'
The new electric drive system incorporates a powerful permanent magnet rotor, an improved stator, and a new inverter that provides high output current. Equipped with optimized thermal management and an intelligent cooling system, it delivers powerful performance along with excellent efficiency. Compared to the previous model, the maximum output has increased by 40%, and maximum torque by 75%, delivering a strong performance of 286 horsepower (PS) and 55.6 kg.m of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is completed in 6.7 seconds, with a top speed reaching 180 km/h.
The driving range per single charge has increased to a combined 424 km compared to the previous model, and the government-certified energy consumption efficiency is 4.9 km/kWh combined. The fast charging speed has also improved by approximately 30%.
A government subsidy of 4.22 million KRW, one of the highest levels among imported electric passenger cars, is available, making it possible to purchase starting from the high 30 million KRW range. When applying the government subsidy, local government subsidies, and purchase benefits, the ID.4 Pro Light can be purchased for around 38.87 million KRW (Seoul standard), and the ID.4 Pro for around 44.61 million KRW.
Meanwhile, customer deliveries of the coupe-style all-electric SUV ID.5, the second core model in Volkswagen Korea's electrification strategy, are scheduled to begin at the end of April.
