88 Pledge Projects Under 5 Major Policy Goals and 11 Strategies
Making Steady Progress
Yangsan City in Gyeongnam conducted a self-assessment of the implementation performance of its mayoral pledge projects for the second half of 2024 and disclosed the results on the city’s website.
According to the assessment, out of 88 pledge projects under 5 major policy goals and 11 promotion strategies, 29 projects were completed in the second half of 2024, including △the construction of Nammulgeum Youth Culture Center △the construction of Geumbit Village Senior Citizens’ Center △the establishment of Geumbit Village Middle School △the road maintenance project at Simyeonggol Reservoir. Among the remaining 59 projects, 56 are progressing normally, and 3 are partially underway, resulting in an overall normal progress rate of 96.6% for all pledge projects.
Yangsan City conducts biannual reviews of the progress to ensure that pledge projects are completed on time, and it publicly shares the progress of the 8th term pledge projects and detailed action plans by sector with citizens through the city website.
Mayor Na Dong-yeon stated, “Pledges are promises made to the citizens, so we will diligently fulfill them within the term.” He emphasized, “We plan to implement a more trustworthy administration by periodically conducting self-assessments of pledges and holding pledge progress reporting meetings to comprehensively review and discuss the status of pledge projects.”
