Gwangyang Free Economic Zone Authority Launches 'Health Caregiver' Program for Resident Company Workers

CPR Training and Adult Disease Prevention Education Provided

Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority (Commissioner Koo Chung-gon, hereafter referred to as Gwangyang FEZ Authority) announced on the 10th that it will conduct a demand survey to operate the "2025 Visiting Health Care Program" for the health promotion of employees working at companies in the Gwangyang Bay Area.


The "2025 Visiting Health Care Program" will target companies in the Gwangyang Bay Area, with direct visits conducted in partnership with St. Carollo Hospital, National Naju Hospital, Honam Regional Rehabilitation Hospital, Suncheon National University, and Cheongam College. The program will provide health education and consultations, including CPR training, preparations for healthy aging, first aid, prevention of musculoskeletal disorders, occupational diseases and adult diseases, stress management, healthy eating habits, and employee mind clinics.

Launched in 2009, the health care program, which has been uniquely operated by Gwangyang FEZ Authority for 17 years, has provided health management services to over 9,000 employees at 212 companies as of 2024.


According to a survey conducted among employees who participated in the 2024 program, 97% reported high satisfaction. In particular, CPR training was highly favored, and employees requested continued support for health management programs.


Koo Chung-gon, Commissioner of Gwangyang FEZ Authority, stated, "Through the Visiting Health Care Program, we will strive to improve employees' lifestyle habits and do our best to enhance the working environment within the Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone through the continued operation of this initiative."
