Since August 2011 until the end of last year, the S-OIL photography club has provided meaningful gifts to over 200 families of patients through monthly studio photo shoots and volunteer activities accompanying patient families at camps. They coordinated with families living across the country to discuss photo shoot dates, locations, and concepts, and selected studios closest to each family to conduct customized photo sessions.
Additionally, they attend the annual camps hosted by the Biliary Atresia Patient Association to continuously support patient families in creating beautiful memories. In April of last year, with S-OIL’s sponsorship, they photographed the entire “Sunshine Sharing Camp” event in Jeju Island, which invited about 60 families of children with biliary atresia and burn injuries, delivering meaningful gifts to the attending families. This activity served as both travel companions and photographers for patient families who had been unable to travel due to long-term treatment, providing them with special experiences and emotional moments.
Members of the S-OIL photography club said, “Because biliary atresia requires a long recovery period, many families are unable to take milestone photos such as first birthdays or family commemorative pictures. Many people actively respond to our volunteer photography activities,” and added, “We meet families with the mindset of gifting love, unity, and memories of the children’s growth.”
Anwar Al Hizazi, CEO of S-OIL, encouraged the photography club for their exemplary volunteer work embodying the company’s core value of ‘Sharing,’ and stated, “S-OIL will continue to carry out various sharing activities and pursue ESG management based on sincerity.”
