Comprehensive Evaluation of Over 350 Airlines
High Scores for Passenger Convenience and Safety

Korean Air announced on the 10th that it received the '2025 Airline of the Year' award selected by the Australian aviation and travel media 'Airline Ratings.'

Korean Air was highly praised for continuously enhancing customer convenience to provide passengers with safer and more comfortable air travel. Additionally, Korean Air was also recognized as the 'World's Best Economy Class Airline' and ranked 8th among the 'World's Safest Airlines.'

Korean Air's economy class seat pitch is wider compared to other airlines, and the Boeing 787-10 next-generation aircraft introduced in July last year features economy class seats that can recline up to 120 degrees and headrests adjustable in various directions. The monitors have also increased in size to 13.3 inches (33 cm) with higher resolution compared to similar aircraft models.

In response to customer demands, in-flight meals have been improved. The proportion of domestically sourced ingredients has been increased to offer in-flight meal menus made with healthy and fresh ingredients, and a pre-order meal service has been introduced for Prestige Class passengers, enhancing service quality. For safe operations, since last year, Korean Air has been introducing medium to large aircraft with strengths in reliability and operational capability, such as the Boeing 787-10 and Airbus A350-900.

Notably, based on solid financial stability and strong performance, Korean Air successfully completed a stable corporate merger with Asiana Airlines and has been recognized for various activities such as leading ESG management in line with the global decarbonization movement.

Sharon Peterson, CEO of Airline Ratings, stated, "Korean Air set a historic milestone by successfully acquiring Asiana Airlines and preparing for the future, continuously investing in next-generation aircraft and leading fleet modernization. They provide excellent service across all classes, from premium cabins to economy."
