Hampyeong County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 10th that it has signed a business agreement with the Jeonnam Mind Health Healing Center (hereinafter referred to as the Healing Center) to promote the health of its residents.

The signing ceremony was attended by Lee Sangik, the governor of Hampyeong County, Kang Hyungwon, the director of the Jeonnam Mind Health Healing Center, and five other officials. The two organizations pledged to cooperate and support each other to improve the mental health of Hampyeong residents.

The Healing Center plans to operate the “Hampyeong Residents Mind Vacation Healing Camp” program 12 times until December to enhance the mental health of Hampyeong residents, with the county fully covering the participation fees. The Healing Center is located in Jangheung County.

The Healing Camp is a two-day, one-night program for local residents vulnerable to stress, such as mothers experiencing postpartum depression, families of dementia and mental illness patients, cancer patients, and menopausal women. Each session will recruit 10 participants.

Participants can receive basic checkups and counseling, as well as healing programs and integrative medicine treatments, including stress tests, anxiety and depression assessments, Chahun meditation, yoga, Korean medicine treatments, hot and cold therapy, and sports massage.

Governor Lee Sangik stated, "This agreement has created an opportunity for Hampyeong residents to access mental health healing services based on medical care," adding, "We will continue to actively support the improvement of mental health and quality of life for our residents."
