Review and Finalization of the 2025 Informatization Implementation Plan and the 2nd Basic Plan for Big Data Utilization
Ulsan City will hold the Informatization Committee meeting at 3 p.m. on February 10 in the International Conference Room to review and finalize the ‘2025 Informatization Implementation Plan’ and the ‘2nd Basic Plan for Big Data Utilization.’
The meeting will be attended by about 20 members, including Chairman Kim Nogyung, Director of Ulsan City Planning and Coordination Office, and other Informatization Committee members. After explanations from Ulsan City officials on each agenda item, the meeting will proceed with deliberations and discussions among the attending members.
On this day, the reviewed and approved ▲‘2025 Informatization Implementation Plan’ aims to achieve ‘intelligent administration realization, digital economic foundation establishment, future industry promotion, and citizen-tailored intelligent service provision,’ and will be promoted through 90 projects across five areas, including ‘administration trusted through digital technology.’
The total project budget for this year is 45.83 billion KRW.
Key projects by sector include △In administration trusted through digital technology, projects such as strengthening administrative capabilities through AI introduction and utilization, developing new administrative automation tasks, and establishing an intelligent persistent attack defense system (24 projects, 5.442 billion KRW) will be promoted.
△In the economy growing through innovation sector, projects such as establishing the Ulsan Child Culture Use Voucher System (pass system) and activating the intelligent (smart) tourism online platform (13 projects, 14.567 billion KRW) △In the safe and pleasant citizen life sector, projects such as creating a hub-type intelligent city (smart city) and advancing the emergency rescue standard system geographic information system (GIS) (22 projects, 17.105 billion KRW) △In the digital welfare enjoyed by all sector, projects such as expanding the Ulsan Moa reservation online platform and expanding the integrated parking control system (18 projects, 7.991 billion KRW) △In the data-based intelligent (smart) administration implementation sector, projects such as strengthening civil servant data utilization capabilities and promoting public data quality management and standardization (13 projects, 0.725 billion KRW) will be carried out.
Also, ▲the 2nd Basic Plan for Big Data Utilization will be implemented step-by-step until 2029 to realize data-based smart Ulsan and citizen-centered digital innovation.
Key projects by sector include △data-centered administrative innovation with four tasks such as providing AI-based administrative services △data utilization support and industrial promotion with four tasks such as training big data specialists △data utilization environment creation with five tasks such as the Ulsan-type open data sharing office. With a total project budget of 33.25 billion KRW, digital innovation using big data will be actively promoted over the next five years.
Kim Nogyung, Director of the Planning and Coordination Office, said, “To advance toward a future intelligent city, we will continuously invest in information and communication technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), resource sharing (cloud), and big data to accelerate digital transformation and improve citizens’ quality of life.”
