On the 9th (local time), at the TPC Scottsdale (par 71, 7,261 yards) in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, the final round of the PGA Tour WM Phoenix Open (total prize money $9.2 million) concluded with Kim recording 5 birdies and 1 bogey. He jumped 18 spots from a tie for 39th place the previous day to finish tied for 21st (10-under 274). Starting at the 10th hole, after stepping stone birdies on the 13th and 15th holes, he took a brief breather with a bogey on the 16th hole (par 3). He then added stepping stone birdies on the 18th and 2nd holes, finishing the tournament on a high note with a birdie on the final 9th hole (par 4).


World No. 58 Thomas Detry (Belgium) surged with a 6-under round to claim a commanding victory by 7 strokes (24-under 260). He earned his first career win and took home the winner's prize of $1,656,000 (approximately 2.4 billion KRW). Michael Kim and Daniel Berger (both USA) tied for 2nd place (17-under 267). Jordan Spieth tied for 4th (16-under 268), Justin Thomas (USA) tied for 6th (15-under 269), and Minwoo Lee (Australia) tied for 12th (13-under 271). World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (USA) lost one stroke and dropped to a tie for 25th (9-under 275).


For Korea, Kim Joo-hyung lost 2 strokes and fell to a tie for 44th (6-under 278). Im Sung-jae also struggled with a 4-over round, dropping to a tie for 57th (4-under 280). Lee Kyung-hoon tied for 67th (1-under 283), and An Byeong-hun finished 73rd (2-over 286).
