Hana Securities expected on the 10th that Suseong Webtoon would rapidly grow through the webtoon platform 'Toomics'.

Choi Jae-ho, a researcher at Hana Securities, explained, "Looking at the sales trend of the webtoon platform Toomics, it is growing rapidly compared to other webtoon companies, from 24.7 billion KRW in 2021 to an estimated 60 billion KRW in 2024."

He added, "The reason for stable growth is that the majority of sales come from monthly subscription plans, and since it is web (WEB)-based rather than app (APP)-based, fixed costs can be managed efficiently."

He emphasized, "About 80% or more of Toomics' sales come from overseas," and "It has already established itself as a global platform and is also benefiting from the high exchange rate."

Researcher Choi predicted, "This year, growth will continue through new expansion into Southeast Asia and collaboration with other webtoon companies."

He analyzed, "The global comics market was 19.7 trillion KRW as of 2021, and Southeast Asia is a large market worth 2.9 trillion KRW." Additionally, he expressed expectations, "This year, Toomics is estimated to achieve sales of 70.5 billion KRW and operating profit of 15.3 billion KRW, which are increases of 17.5% and 37.8%, respectively, compared to last year."
