Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, participated in the New Year's Kick-off Ceremony hosted by the Mangwon Football Club at Mangwon Yusuji Soccer Field from 10:30 a.m. on the 9th, cheering on the members and wishing for the development and harmony of the Mangwon Football Club.
Despite the passing of Ipchun (the beginning of spring), the cold weather continued on the day of the event, which was attended by about 100 people including Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, Lee Hyung-gyu, President of Mangwon Football Club, and 90 members.
Mayor Park Gang-su greeted the participants and then took part in the prayer ceremony. After the kick-off ceremony, Mayor Park inspected winter sports facility safety management by touring related facilities such as the Mapo Community Sports Center, soccer field, jokgu field, and park golf course.
Mayor Park Gang-su said, "Through this event, I hope Mangwon Football Club achieves excellent results with fantastic teamwork in 2025," and added, "Mapo District will do its best in sports administration so that residents can enjoy exercising in a pleasant and comfortable environment."
