A ‘free’ viewing event to support the championship of the BNK SUM women’s professional basketball team will be held.

Busan City (Mayor Park Hyung-joon) announced on the 9th that it will hold a free viewing event on the 10th at 7 p.m. at Sajik Indoor Gymnasium to cheer for the first-ever championship of the BNK SUM women’s professional basketball team (team owner Kim Sung-joo), based in Busan.

This season, the BNK SUM basketball team, which has significantly strengthened its roster and caused a sensation by winning six consecutive games from the opening match, is still showing championship-level strength, recording a joint first place with 18 wins and 8 losses despite recent consecutive injuries to key players.

Also, starting from the 6th round against the Cheongju KB Stars, the return of injured players and strengthened lineup are expected to make it easier to maintain their lead.

At this free viewing event, various and generous prizes will be offered to repay the support of Busan home fans.

Free game tickets can be reserved in advance through the Ticketlink app or received for free on-site from 5:30 p.m., one hour and 30 minutes before the game starts.

The BNK SUM basketball team was founded in June 2019 with Busan as its home base and uses Sajik Indoor Gymnasium as its home stadium. So far, it has reached the championship finals twice and finished as runner-up once in the regular league.

Jo Yoo-jang, Director of the Culture and Sports Bureau of Busan City, said, “The BNK SUM basketball team, which has continued excellent results such as reaching the semifinals of last year’s Park Shin-ja Cup, is a strong candidate for the championship this season,” adding, “We will cheer together with the citizens of Busan so that the team can win the championship for the first time since its founding.”
