Seongnam Mayor Shin Sang-jin visited Harbin, China, to encourage the Seongnam City Hall ice skating team participating in the '2025 Harbin Winter Asian Games.'

On this day, Mayor Shin Sang-jin visited the Harbin Heilongjiang Ice Skating Training Center Multipurpose Hall to watch the games of the athletes belonging to Seongnam City Hall in person and encourage the team. The Seongnam City Hall ice skating team achieved a great record by winning 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal in short track.

Players Kim Gilli and Choi Min-jung won the first gold medal in the mixed 2000m relay final. In the following women's 1500m, player Kim Gilli added another gold medal, earning the honor of being the first double gold medalist of the Korean team. The medal race for Seongnam City Hall continued with Choi Min-jung's gold medal and Kim Gilli's silver medal in the women's 500m.

Mayor Shin Sang-jin said, "I am very proud that our athletes have fully demonstrated the skills they have honed and achieved great results," adding, "I hope they will continue to shine for Korea with their best performance in the remaining games."

Meanwhile, Mayor Shin Sang-jin plans to stay on site until the 9th to continue his passionate support for Seongnam City Hall ice skating team's additional medal wins.
