This consultation is planned to provide administrative services to resolve citizens' inquiries and ensure prompt permit processing, timed with the recent announcement of the change in the area of Namyangju City's Growth Management Plan Zone (from 55.12㎢ to 77.14㎢) on December 30, 2024, which is expected to increase the number of development activity permit applications.

A ‘Development Activity Permit’ refers to the approval required from the competent city authority when constructing buildings, installing structures, changing land conditions, or subdividing land. The legal procedures are complex, and preparing the permit documents is difficult, making it hard for applicants to apply easily.

Accordingly, the city will conduct pre-consultations for citizens, providing advice and counseling on △ whether land use and location are possible △ development activity permit procedures △ required documents △ key requirements.

Citizens wishing to receive consultation can use the service by phone or visit the Urban Development Division of Namyangju City Hall.

In addition, the city plans to strengthen communication with applicants by providing text message (SMS) updates on the progress of development activity permit processing, thereby enhancing satisfaction and trust in administrative services.

Mayor Joo Gwang-deok stated, “Through this consultation, we will resolve citizens' inquiries, shorten the permit period, increase citizen satisfaction, and contribute to the protection of property rights and revitalization of the local economy. We will continue to inherit the spirit of serving the people of Jeong Yak-yong and prepare various administrative services that can provide practical help from the citizens' perspective.”
