"When an Ignorant Person Is Diligent, Accidents Happen," Direct Criticism of Yoon
Also Criticizes Former Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn for Joining Yoon's Legal Team
Park Ji-won, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, pointed out that the 'Daewang Whale Project,' a deep-sea gas field exploration and development project in the East Sea initiated by President Yoon Seok-yeol, has effectively failed, saying, "Because of Daewang Whale, Yoon Seok-yeol and others got hit." On the 6th, Park wrote on his social media service (SNS), "They say when whales fight, the shrimp get crushed, and because of Daewang Whale, the budget was cut, martial law was declared, and Yoon Seok-yeol and others got hit."

Earlier, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy stated at a briefing held at the Government Complex Sejong that "during the first exploratory drilling at the deep-sea gas field in the East Sea, gas signs were found, but not at a level that secures economic feasibility." The People Power Party, which had consistently demanded the restoration of the Daewang Whale Project budget, did not issue a statement. The Democratic Party said, "This was a result that could have been sufficiently predicted," and called for an apology from the People Power Party, which had criticized the Democratic Party over the budget cuts for Daewang Whale.
Regarding this, Park criticized, "When an ignorant person is diligent, accidents happen," adding, "Without being an expert, during the Daewang Whale project oil drilling, the president personally announced it for about five minutes during the Cabinet meeting without taking any questions and then left, and the result was basically a bluff." He then directly questioned, "Isn't it good that the budget was cut?" and "How will they pay for all those sins?"

Additionally, Park Ji-won criticized former Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn's joining of President Yoon Seok-yeol's legal defense team. Appearing on KBC's 'Yeouido Invitation,' he said, "Former Representative Hwang has consistently advocated the theory of election fraud," and "His joining the president's legal defense team this time seems like appearing as a comedy extra." Park also said, "President Yoon's claim that the declaration of martial law was due to election fraud is nonsense," and "It is quite ridiculous that former Prime Minister Hwang is involved in this." Furthermore, in response to the host's remark that "Former Prime Minister Hwang was directly or indirectly involved in the impeachment phases of former President Park Geun-hye and President Yoon," Park replied, "That's right," and added, "He also ran as a presidential candidate but has not succeeded in politics."
