Kia is strengthening the benefits of the 'e-Life Package,' which provides charging-management-guarantee programs necessary throughout the electric vehicle lifecycle, and is launching it anew.
On the 7th, Kia announced the launch of the '2025 Kia e-Life Package.' Since the initial launch of this program in June last year, Kia has actively reflected feedback from the field to enhance overall benefits and the scope of guarantees.
Kia has enhanced benefits in this package such as ▲multi-family housing charging consulting (applying smart control chargers) ▲electric vehicle fire safety program ▲Kia EV safety inspection ▲certified used car trade-in. It also offers various benefits including ▲charging roaming service ▲subscription-based charging rate plans ▲used car price guarantee program.
First, the 'multi-family housing charging consulting,' which provides consulting for free installation and operation of general slow chargers in existing apartments, will newly apply smart control chargers. The smart control charger is a device equipped with a power line communication (PLC) modem that communicates in real-time with the vehicle, monitors battery status, and optimizes charging speed. Through this, it provides a smart charging environment linked with the existing vehicle's battery management system (BMS).
Additionally, the enhanced Kia EV safety inspection integrates the previously separate services of 'Kia Members EV Basic Inspection' and 'EV Safety Inspection' into one operation. The basic inspection service, which was provided 8 times over 8 years, has been increased by 2 times to offer a total of 10 safety inspections once a year over 10 years. The service items have also expanded from the previous 15 items to 20 by adding 5 detailed items related to electric vehicle batteries.
Furthermore, the 'Electric Vehicle Fire Safety Program' supports up to 10 billion KRW for property damage caused to others by EV fires. Support items include emergency support for third-party living stabilization costs, third-party property damage support, and litigation cost support for the vehicle owner. In addition, 'Certified Used Car Trade-In' has been incorporated into this program. Kia offers discount benefits when selling a Kia vehicle without accidents within 5 years of new car delivery and within 100,000 km mileage to Kia certified used cars and purchasing a new Kia EV.
A Kia official said, "With the launch of the 2025 Kia e-Life Package, we have increased customers' trust in electric vehicles and provided practical value through differentiated EV-specialized solutions. We will continue to introduce innovative services that customers can feel to create a better electric vehicle life."
