Jindo County Named 'Top Institution' for Civil Service Evaluation Two Years in a Row

Top 10 Percent Among 307 Institutions Nationwide

Jindo County in Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Heesu) has been selected as an outstanding institution for the second consecutive year by receiving the highest grade, "A," in the 2024 Comprehensive Civil Service Evaluation jointly organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.


According to the county on the 7th, the Comprehensive Civil Service Evaluation assesses 307 organizations, including metropolitan and basic local governments, central administrative agencies, and city/provincial offices of education nationwide. The evaluation covers ▲civil administration strategies and systems ▲operation of civil service systems ▲handling of civil complaints via the National Complaint Portal ▲handling of grievance complaints ▲civil service satisfaction, assigning five grades based on the overall score ranking.

In this evaluation, the county received perfect scores in indicators such as ▲the head official's achievements in civil administration ▲provision of civil services for vulnerable groups ▲offering incentives for excellent civil service performance ▲protection of civil service staff.


Governor Kim Heesu stated, "This achievement is the result of all our staff working together to provide better administrative services," and added, "We will continue to do our best to provide civil services that resonate with and satisfy our residents."


Meanwhile, Jindo County had received lower grades until 2022, but achieved the "A" grade for the first time in 2023. This year, for the second consecutive year, the county will receive a commendation from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and a special grant (60 million KRW) as an incentive.
