To celebrate Jeongwol Daeboreum, various traditional seasonal events will be held throughout Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do. Traditionally, our people have hosted a variety of events on Jeongwol Daeboreum to wish for a year of good health, national unity, and abundance.
Residents will share in this spirit by organizing a range of activities such as Jisinbalgi, Daljip burning, and sharing of Ogokbap in villages across the region.
In particular, on the 11th, Jeongwol Daeboreum events wishing for the well-being and peace of the community will be held in Byeongpung Village, Daejeon-myeon, and Jatjeong Village, Goseo-myeon. Traditional customs such as Daljip burning and Jwibulnori will create a spectacular scene.
Additionally, various events including Pungmulnori to commemorate Jeongwol Daeboreum will take place at 20 locations in 11 towns and villages. These events are expected to provide a meaningful opportunity for local residents to enjoy traditional customs together, strengthen community spirit, and share positive energy with one another.
On the 7th, County Governor Lee Byeongno urged, "Please pay attention to safety so that many residents can have a meaningful time together during Jeongwol Daeboreum," and added, "I hope that this year, the beautiful nature and traditions of Damyang will shine even brighter, and that all residents will enjoy a healthy and happy life."
