Zelensky: "Trump Has Not Yet Established an Official Plan for Ending the War"

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on the 6th (local time) that U.S. President Donald Trump has not yet formulated an official plan to end the war in Ukraine.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, President Zelenskyy responded to a question from the outlet's correspondent that "President Trump has not yet established an official peace plan."

He added, "I am confident that the contents mentioned in various media are not President Trump's official plan."

Recently, several media outlets reported on President Trump's ideas for ending the war in Ukraine. Since his presidential campaign last year, Trump has expressed a desire to end the Ukraine war early, but he has not disclosed any specific plans. At a press conference on the 7th of last month, he only stated that he is "judging the end point to be within the next six months."

President Zelenskyy said that he himself has a clear peace plan and has discussed certain matters with the U.S. even before President Trump's inauguration. He asserted that Ukraine and the U.S. will cooperate to prepare a peace plan. He stated, "There can be no plan separate from all parties, including the United States," and added, "We will wait for official negotiations and outcomes."

The day before, Bloomberg News reported that the U.S. plans to explain the Trump administration's ideas regarding an end-of-war plan at the Munich Security Conference held in Germany from the 14th to the 16th. However, Keith Kellogg, Trump's special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, denied the report. Special Envoy Kellogg recently stated that the U.S. has a "solid and reliable plan" and expressed expectations that Ukraine will hold elections if a ceasefire agreement is reached.
