On the 6th, Kang Su-hyun, Mayor of Yangju City, attended the '2025 Small and Medium Venture Business Support Policy Briefing' held in the city hall's main conference room, encouraging local businesspeople and promising active support to revitalize the regional economy.
The 'Small and Medium Venture Business Support Policy Briefing' was organized to guide established small and venture businesses in Yangju on various government and institutional support programs to enable effective utilization. Approximately 100 local companies participated in the event.
The briefing covered various topics helpful for business operations, including Yangju City Enterprise SOS, technology protection for small businesses, funding and financial support, export and sales channels, R&D, and baby boomer employment.
In particular, 12 related organizations, including the Small and Medium Business Corporation, Korea Technology Finance Corporation, Credit Guarantee Fund, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency, Gyeonggi Technopark, KOTRA, and Gyeonggi Job Foundation, along with city-affiliated business advisors, attended to provide detailed guidance on support policies by sector, helping participating companies understand them better.
Additionally, a 1:1 consultation desk was operated to listen to companies' difficulties and provide customized counseling. A 'Small Business Support Program Guidebook,' summarizing various support programs for easy access, was distributed, receiving great positive feedback.
Meanwhile, in the second half of the 8th term of the civilian administration, Yangju City is focusing all efforts on recovering the livelihood economy and attracting quality businesses as the top priority of city administration this year.
Mayor Kang Su-hyun emphasized in his recently announced New Year's address that one of the seven key policy directions is to create a "vibrant economic city where everyone prospers together" through active livelihood recovery policies.
To this end, the city plans to accelerate the activation of the local construction market by promoting early sales and prompt groundbreaking of the Gyeonggi Yangju Technovalley and Eunnam General Industrial Complex in the first half of this year.
In addition, the city intends to provide comprehensive support so that companies can feel tangible benefits through improvements in the business environment, expansion of nurturing funds, secondary interest subsidies, special guarantee support, and a local product priority purchase policy.
Mayor Kang Su-hyun stated, "Yangju City will create the optimal environment for businesses to grow and do its best to recover the local economy together with companies," adding, "I hope this year will be a year when everyone blossoms with hope."
