Global AI Startups Outside the US Reported
"MOREH Closest to DeepSeek's Approach"

Artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure solution company MOREH has been introduced as a global AI startup gaining attention due to the emergence of China's DeepSeek.

The UK-based venture media GCV (Global Corporate Venturing) reported an article titled "Global AI Startups Outside the US Competing with Silicon Valley Giants."

Through this, promising AI startups outside the US supported by corporate investors were introduced, including Korea's MOREH, China's Moonshot AI, France's Mistral, Canada's Cohere, Israel's AI21 Labs, and Germany's Aleph Alpha.

Additionally, citing data from the global market research firm PitchBook, it stated, "Although investments in North American AI and machine learning startups exceed those in other regions by more than eight times, the emergence of DeepSeek clearly demonstrates that AI innovation does not necessarily have to be led from Silicon Valley."

In the article, GCV introduced MOREH as the startup closest to DeepSeek's approach. MOREH has developed software that allows users to build and optimize their own AI models using a more flexible modular approach, which can run on a wide range of GPU chips.

In other words, using MOREH's software means organizations can find cheaper chips to build AI infrastructure, and it is compatible not only with NVIDIA but also with machine learning frameworks from Meta and Google, the article added.

Meanwhile, GCV is a UK media company that annually hosts global CVC networking and investment information exchange events in regions such as the US, Europe, and Asia. In Korea, it has also held several events linked with the country's largest startup event "ComeUp," including the global CVC conference in cooperation with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
