Korea Philip Morris announced on the 18th that it will launch a new heated tobacco device series, the 'IQOS ILUMA i'. The IQOS ILUMA i series is the latest product in Philip Morris's heated tobacco device lineup, and the company plans to accelerate its vision of a smoke-free future with this product.

The IQOS ILUMA i series is equipped with various new features to enhance the experience of adult smokers. One of the key features of the IQOS ILUMA i series is the 'touchscreen' mounted on the holder. Users can easily check the device's preheating status, remaining usage time, and remaining usage count through the touchscreen.

The 'Pause Mode' is a new feature that allows users to pause device usage for up to 8 minutes by swiping down on the holder's touchscreen. Swiping the touchscreen back up resumes usage without wasting the dedicated tobacco stick. This is useful when users need to temporarily stop using the device due to urgent calls or unexpected meetings. Notably, depending on user patterns, if the pause mode is not used, the holder can be used up to 3 times consecutively on a single charge. The 'Flex Puff' feature has also been added. Considering that IQOS users have different usage patterns and inhalation speeds, this feature analyzes individual usage patterns and allows up to 4 additional puffs within 6 minutes.

The new product is introduced in two lineups: 'IQOS ILUMA i PRIME' and 'IQOS ILUMA i'. The IQOS ILUMA i PRIME is the top flagship model featuring an elegant aluminum body and a more refined wrap cover design, available in three colors: Breeze Blue, Midnight Black, and Garnet Red. The IQOS ILUMA i adds convenience to the iconic IQOS design and is available in four colors: Breeze Blue, Midnight Black, Vivid Terracotta, and Digital Violet.

Both products apply the ‘SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM’ just like the existing IQOS ILUMA series, which uniformly heats the tobacco from the inside for a consistent experience and leaves no residue after use, eliminating the need to clean the device.

The new IQOS ILUMA i series will be available nationwide starting from the 13th at official IQOS retailers, convenience stores, and the official IQOS online store. Prior to this, pre-orders will begin on the 7th at nine IQOS direct stores nationwide and the official IQOS online store. The recommended retail price for the IQOS ILUMA i PRIME is 129,000 KRW, and for the IQOS ILUMA i, it is 89,000 KRW.
