This area was first designated as a 'Public-Supported Private Rental Housing Supply Promotion District' in December 2020. The approved district plan includes overall project plans such as land use plans, population and housing accommodation plans, and district unit plans.
According to the district plan, the project implementer, Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), will build a total of 4,729 households on 248,544㎡ of the entire site, accommodating 12,770 people.
Of the housing units, 2,563 households, accounting for 54%, will be supplied as public-supported private rental housing. The rental housing consists of 971 households with exclusive areas of 60㎡ or less and 1,592 households with exclusive areas between 60㎡ and 85㎡. There are 2,120 units for general sale, including 685 households of 60㎡ or less and 1,435 households between 60㎡ and 85㎡. Additionally, 46 detached houses will be built within the district.
The project site will include kindergartens, elementary schools, and public offices, with commercial land covering 19,622㎥, accounting for 2.7% of the total area. Notably, 45.6% of the site area, equivalent to 326,334㎡, is planned as parks and green spaces. Among these, 248,181㎡ will be developed as eco-friendly forest-themed areas including six parks: children's parks, neighborhood parks, waterfront parks, and small parks, with plans to restore vegetation through tree transplantation.
The district is located east of the Yeoksam district, where a large-scale urban development project is underway. Public institutions such as Cheoin-gu Office and City Hall are concentrated nearby, and universities like Myongji University and Yongin University are close. Accessibility to Yongin Light Rail Transit Kimryangjang Station is also convenient. LH plans to start construction early next year after compensation procedures and complete it by the end of 2029.
The district plan approval documents and related materials can be viewed at the Housing Policy Division of Yongin City Hall and the Complex Project Team 2 of LH Southern Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters. Topographic maps can be checked on 'Toji-eum'.
