Practical Training on Agricultural Machinery Operation and Maintenance

Yeongju City, Gyeongbuk Province (Mayor Park Nam-seo) will conduct practical training on the proper use and maintenance of agricultural machinery for about 150 local farmers over three days from February 24 to 26.

This training aims to prevent safety accidents that may occur during farming work and to take the lead in realizing "Zero Agricultural Work Safety Accidents."
The training will be divided into theoretical education and on-site practical training.
On the 24th, theoretical education for accident prevention will be held at the large lecture hall of the Yeongju Agricultural Technology Center, and from the 25th to the 26th, on-site practical technical training will be conducted at the southern and northern branches of the agricultural machinery rental center for those who have completed the theoretical education.
The on-site practical training will focus on hands-on skills used in the field, such as operating large agricultural machinery (agricultural excavators and tractors), loading and unloading practice, and light maintenance techniques. In particular, farmers who complete the training will be qualified to rent agricultural excavators and tractors from the Yeongju Agricultural Machinery Rental Center.
Additionally, those who complete the training can receive a 5% discount on agricultural safety insurance premiums and a 3% discount on comprehensive agricultural machinery insurance premiums. However, to receive the insurance premium discount, the training on agricultural work safety accident prevention must have been completed within two years from the insurance subscription date.
Applications for the training are open until February 19 and can be submitted by phone to either the southern or northern branch of the agricultural machinery rental center.
