'Artist of the Year' National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Hosts 'Artist & Jury Dialogue'

Four Sponsored Artists and Domestic and International Jurors to Participate
Artists to Present Statements on Their Works, Followed by Q&A with Jurors and Audience
Award Winner to Be Announced on the 13th

The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) will hold the 'Artist & Jury Dialogue' on the 11th at the MMCA Daewon Space to select the final winner of the 'Artist of the Year Award 2024.'

The event will be conducted as a discussion between four sponsored artists and domestic and international jurors. The four sponsored artists introduced in the 'Artist of the Year Award 2024' exhibition will present their artistic statements and engage in a Q&A session with the jurors from Korea and abroad.

Participation in the event can be applied for free on the MMCA website. A recorded video of the event will be released on the MMCA YouTube channel.

Kim Seong-hee, Director of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, stated, "Through the 'Artist & Jury Dialogue,' we expect the 'Artist of the Year Award' to more faithfully fulfill its original role as a system that examines the landscape of contemporary Korean art," adding, "The MMCA will continue its efforts to introduce new trends in contemporary Korean art and to expand them."
