Damyang County, Jeollanam-do announced on the 3rd that it will operate a night civil service office every Tuesday to provide residents with convenient access to administrative services.
The night civil service office is a service that operates Damyang County's civil service office during weekday evenings, taking into account the busy schedules of residents such as office workers and students.
Since its launch last year, the night civil service office has handled a total of 164 cases, with 90% (148 cases) related to services such as passports, resident registration certificates and abstracts, seal certificates, and certificates of entry and exit. In particular, demand for passport issuance has continued to rise in line with the recent surge in overseas travel, making the service especially popular.
The night civil service office is available every Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. after regular office hours, and can be used without a reservation by visiting in person.
County Governor Lee Byungno said, "We will continue to make systematic improvements so that residents can use administrative services more conveniently and efficiently," and added, "We hope for continued interest and use from residents this year as well."
