Applications Accepted Until the 14th
1 Billion KRW to Be Invested
Imsil County, North Jeolla Province, announced on the 3rd that it will implement the "2025 Small-Scale Workplace Prevention Facility Support Project," which supports the installation of Internet of Things (IoT) devices for small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Internet of Things refers to intelligent technology that connects all objects based on the internet to share information mutually, enabling real-time monitoring of air pollutant emission facilities and prevention facilities.
With the revision of the Enforcement Decree of the Clean Air Conservation Act making the installation of IoT measurement devices mandatory, the county plans to allocate 100 million KRW by June 30 to support the installation.
The support covers IoT measurement devices that can verify whether facilities are in operation, and the eligible recipients are small and medium-sized enterprises, as defined by the Framework Act on Small and Medium Enterprises, that operate air emission facilities (types 4 and 5).
Businesses that receive this support must operate the installed facility for at least three years and attach IoT measurement devices to the prevention facilities to transmit data to the Korea Environment Corporation's small-scale air emission management system.
Applications can be submitted by filling out the application form posted on the county website and visiting the Environmental Protection Division or by mail by the 14th.
The county plans to select the final companies through document review and on-site inspection, and will support up to 90% of the installation cost for IoT measurement devices, up to 4 million KRW per device.
County Governor Sim Min said, "This support project for attaching measurement devices was prepared to help reduce the economic burden of small-scale workplaces struggling with prevention facility management," and added, "As eligible businesses are required to install the devices within the mandatory installation period, we hope for active participation."
