Kim Seong-min, Newly Appointed Chairman, Vows to Strengthen Resident-Centered Autonomy Activities

Kim Seong-min, the chairman of the resident autonomy committee of Unjung-dong, Bundang-gu, was appointed as the 14th chairman of the Seongnam City Residents' Autonomy Council.

The Gyeonggi Seongnam City Residents' Autonomy Council held the inauguration and retirement ceremony for the council chairman at 2 p.m. on the 3rd on the 3rd floor of the city hall, Hannuri Hall.


On this day, the 13th chairman Heo Jun (advisor of the Geumgwang 1-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee in Jungwon-gu) retired, and Kim Seong-min was inaugurated as the 14th chairman of the Residents' Autonomy Council.


The 14th vice chairmen, Jeon Soon-seok, chairman of the Taepyeong 1-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee, and Song Mi-ra, chairman of the Hadaewon-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee, were appointed, and a total of eight executives were newly formed and held a launching ceremony.


Along with this, a plaque of appreciation was presented to the 13th chairman who led the Seongnam City Residents' Autonomy Council, and a plaque of appointment was presented to the 14th chairman.


Newly appointed chairman Kim Seong-min said, “I will do my best so that the 50 dong residents' autonomy committees can communicate and develop together,” and added, “We will further strengthen resident-centered autonomy activities.”


Shin Sang-jin, mayor of Seongnam City, said in his congratulatory speech, “I hope the Residents' Autonomy Council will unite more around the new chairman and work hard for the development of residents' autonomy in Seongnam City.”


The Seongnam City Residents' Autonomy Council is an organization composed of chairmen of residents' autonomy committees from 50 dong, established to discuss matters related to information exchange and revitalization plans among autonomy centers, and the establishment of policies for operating autonomy centers.
