The Gyeongsangbuk-do Talent Lifelong Education Foundation was established by integrating the Gyeongbuk Lifelong Education Promotion Institute and the Gyeongbuk RISE Center to enhance the efficiency and specialization of educational functions. The ordinance was revised last July, and the integration process was finalized on January 1 of this year.

New CEO Kim Sang-dong stated, “As technological innovations such as artificial intelligence rapidly progress, we will spare no effort in education and support to help residents prepare for these changes,” adding, “The Gyeongsangbuk-do Talent Lifelong Education Foundation will do its best to become a platform that realizes residents’ happiness through lifelong learning and innovation of local universities, leading the local community toward sustainable development.”
Lee Cheol-woo, Governor of Gyeongbuk Province, said, “CEO Kim Sang-dong is the right person to successfully lead the Gyeongsangbuk-do Talent Lifelong Education Foundation based on his rich experience and expertise,” and urged, “I hope he will lead innovation in local universities and promote creative and sustainable policies that satisfy the learning needs of residents.”
