Shu Xiyuan (Seo Huiwon, English name Bobby Shu), a famous Taiwanese actress and wife of singer Gu Junyeop (55) from the group Clon, has died of pneumonia at the age of 48.


Shu Xidi (Seo Heeje), Shu Xiyuan's younger sister, told local media including Taiwan Central News Agency (CNA) on the 3rd, "During the Lunar New Year holiday, the family went on a trip to Japan, and during the trip, my sister Seo Huiwon passed away on the 2nd due to pneumonia complications caused by influenza (flu)."


Seo Heeje said, "My sister and I took care of each other and were together. I am grateful and will miss her. I will love her forever."


Seo Huiwon debuted in 1994 with her sister Seo Heeje as part of the group 'SOS.' After disputes with their agency, they changed their name to 'ASOS' and continued activities until 2003. She is also well known domestically for playing the lead role San Cai in the Taiwanese version of the popular drama 'Boys Over Flowers,' titled 'Meteor Garden' seasons 1 and 2 (2001?2002). Additionally, she appeared in 'A Chinese Ghost Story' (2003), 'The Legend of the Condor Heroes' (2007), and films such as 'Sword Master' (2010) and 'The Great Magician' (2014).


Seo Huiwon married Chinese businessman Wang Shaofei in 2011 and had one son and one daughter before divorcing in 2021. In 2022, she remarried Gu Junyeop. The two first met around 1998, dated for about a year, then separated, and reunited 23 years later to become a married couple, attracting much attention.
