Busan City Male Short-Term Youth Shelter, a commissioned institution of Silla University (President Heo Nam-sik), signed a business agreement with Busan Economic Promotion Agency and Construction Technology Education Institute to strengthen the self-reliance capabilities of out-of-home youth.
On January 22 and 23, Busan City Male Short-Term Youth Shelter held separate business agreement ceremonies with Busan Economic Promotion Agency and Construction Technology Education Institute to establish a consultative body as part of the "Happy Self-Reliance Support Project" for strengthening the self-reliance capabilities of out-of-home youth, jointly planned by the Community Chest of Korea and the Korea Youth Counseling & Welfare Institute.

The "Happy Self-Reliance Support Project" is a program that provides personalized services such as housing, economy, academics, employment, and health to help out-of-home youth preparing for independence grow into healthy adults. The recent business agreement to establish a consultative body with Busan City Male Short-Term Youth Shelter is expected to effectively deliver the necessary services to out-of-home youth.
Jeon Seon-young, director of Busan City Male Short-Term Youth Shelter, said, "We hope that the agreement with the two institutions will provide various work experiences, programs, and education to out-of-home youth preparing for independence, serving as a stepping stone for their entry into society."
Busan City Male Short-Term Youth Shelter is a youth protection specialized institution operated with support from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and Busan City. It safely protects out-of-home youth from crisis situations and supports their growth into healthy members of society through various services including living support, health support, counseling and emotional support, academic and self-reliance support, and cultural and leisure activity support.
