Na Kyungwon: "President Yoon said it is fortunate that the public has learned about the Democratic Party's actions"
On the 3rd, President Yoon Suk-yeol met with People Power Party lawmakers including Emergency Response Committee Chairman Kwon Young-se, Floor Leader Kwon Seong-dong, and Representative Na Kyung-won, and said regarding the December 3 emergency martial law measures, "I could not just stand by while the government was paralyzed by parliamentary dictatorship such as impeachment threats and budget cuts, so I took these measures with a heavy sense of responsibility."
Representative Na stated to reporters that President Yoon, who visited the Seoul Detention Center in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province that morning, said, "In reality, the parliament has become a one-party dictatorship of the Democratic Party, making it impossible to carry out any government affairs. From the position of the president, I took these measures with a heavy sense of responsibility, thinking that I must somehow resolve this."
Representative Na also introduced that President Yoon said, "It is fortunate that through this martial law, the people have come to know about the various behaviors by which the Democratic Party, as the ruling party, have effectively paralyzed the government."

Representative Na added, "(President Yoon) asked for the party to unite and play a role in creating hope for the people, including the youth in their 20s and 30s," and conveyed, "He expressed much concern about South Korea in relation to various international situations and the global economy."
Regarding the conversation between President Yoon and Chairman Kwon and Floor Leader Kwon, Representative Na mentioned, "We also discussed concerns about the current National Assembly situation and the biased behaviors of constitutional court justices during the Constitutional Court trial process."
