According to Yangpyeong County on the 3rd, during the meeting, Mayor Jeon explained the situation where some sections of the existing bicycle path are at risk of being cut off due to the expansion construction of Yanggeundaegyo Bridge and requested cooperation to secure a safer alternative route. He also proposed active support to expand the sewerage coverage rate and preserve the water source quality through the approval of the 2040 Sewerage Maintenance Basic Plan.
In addition, discussions were held on various issues for the development of Yangpyeong County, including △ operation of eco-friendly educational ships in Yangpyeong County △ housing construction projects on the site of the amphibious military facility relocation district.
Jeon Jin-seon, mayor of Yangpyeong County, said, “We will work closely with the central government and related organizations to improve the living environment of residents and promote regional development, creating tangible changes.”
Meanwhile, projects that have been continuously discussed with the Hangang River Basin Environmental Office, such as △ the creation of Mulangae Park △ river occupation permit for Yangpyeong Park Golf Course △ establishment of a waterfront ecological belt, have completed consultation procedures and are progressing smoothly.
