Jeju Air Introduces 3rd B737-8 Aircraft... "Fleet Modernization by 2030"

This aircraft was manufactured on December 19th last year at Boeing's Renton factory in Washington State, USA. The existing 189-seat configuration was reduced to 174 seats, equipped with 12 Biz Lite seats and 162 Economy seats. After inspections of the maintenance system and airworthiness certification by relevant authorities, it is scheduled to begin operations.

Jeju Air is currently carrying out a fleet modernization project until 2030, having introduced two aircraft of this model in 2023. Previously, in November 2018, Jeju Air signed a purchase agreement with Boeing for 50 B737-8 aircraft (40 confirmed purchases and 10 option purchases), proactively securing new aircraft supply.

With this aircraft introduction, the average age of Jeju Air's 41 passenger aircraft has decreased from 14.1 years to 13.7 years. Jeju Air plans to carry out the project without delay to reduce the average age to below 5 years and enhance safety.
