Hyundai Motor Company has announced the sales price of the large electric sports utility vehicle (SUV) Ioniq 9 and will begin pre-orders from the 3rd.
The Ioniq 9 is the flagship model of the electric vehicle brand Ioniq. Based on Hyundai Motor Group's dedicated electric vehicle platform 'E-GMP,' it maximizes interior space with the largest wheelbase in its class and is equipped with a 110.3 kWh battery, securing a driving range of over 500 km on a single charge for all models. The maximum driving range certified in Korea on a single charge is 532 km.
The sales prices of the Ioniq 9 are as follows: for the 7-seater ▲Exclusive 67.15 million KRW ▲Prestige 73.15 million KRW ▲Calligraphy 77.92 million KRW, and for the 6-seater ▲Exclusive 69.03 million KRW ▲Prestige 74.64 million KRW ▲Calligraphy 79.41 million KRW (prices after tax benefits).
When applying electric vehicle purchase subsidies, the actual purchase price is expected to be even lower. Although there are regional differences, it is expected that the 7-seater base trim can be purchased starting from the mid-60 million KRW range.
The front and lamp design of the Ioniq 9 applies the Parametric Pixel, a core design element of the dedicated electric vehicle Ioniq. The vehicle’s side features a smoothly curved roofline designed to provide ample headroom space for all passengers from the front seats to the rear seats.
The interior of the vehicle secures spaciousness by creating a long wheelbase and a flat floor extending to the third row. The Ioniq 9 measures 5,060 mm in length, 3,130 mm in wheelbase, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,790 mm in height, offering a wide space and securing class-leading headroom and legroom in the 2nd and 3rd rows. Hyundai Motor Company has configured a total of four different seat types for the Ioniq 9, including three 6-seater versions and one 7-seater version.
The Ioniq 9 is equipped with a 110.3 kWh battery, enabling a maximum driving range of 532 km on a single charge (based on 19-inch wheels, 2WD). The Ioniq 9 is available in both endurance and performance models, with all models achieving a driving range of over 500 km on a single charge. Additionally, Hyundai Motor Company has equipped the Ioniq 9 with a 400/800V multi ultra-fast charging system, allowing the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes using a 350 kW charger.
The Ioniq 9 supports wireless software updates in various areas including navigation map information and vehicle control, allowing the vehicle to always be maintained in the latest condition.
Hyundai Motor Company has installed the next-generation infotainment system ccNC (connected car Navigation Cockpit) in the Ioniq 9, enabling easy access and control of EV-related information and functions. Furthermore, through the Hyundai AI Assistant feature incorporating generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology, it provides information on destinations, vehicle usage, and general knowledge based on natural language, enabling two-way communication between the vehicle and the customer.
A Hyundai Motor Company official said, "We expect a new electrification experience that turns possibilities into reality through the Ioniq 9, the flagship model of the electrification brand Ioniq," adding, "We ask for much interest in the Ioniq 9, which offers the highest level of driving range and various advanced safety and convenience features to provide a differentiated experience."
