Gyeonggi Superintendent Lim Tae-hee to Visit US and Canada on 4th for Cooperation in Various Fields

Gyeonggi Provincial Superintendent of Education Lim Tae-hee is embarking on a visit to the United States and Canada to globalize Gyeonggi education.


The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education announced on the 3rd that Superintendent Lim Tae-hee will visit the Washington State Department of Education from the 4th to the 6th to discuss the expansion of Korean language education and online education with key officials. The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Seattle will also participate in this meeting to sign a tripartite memorandum of understanding.


The three institutions plan to expand cooperation in various areas through the memorandum of understanding, including ▲expanding exchanges of educational policies and institutions for future education ▲supporting diverse student-led mutual exchange activities ▲collaborating on the development of teaching and learning methods for language education.

Following the visit to Washington State, Superintendent Lim will visit major educational institutions in Vancouver, Canada, on the 7th and 8th, including Byrne Creek Secondary Community School and a meeting with the Burnaby School District Superintendent, to introduce Gyeonggi Shared Schools and explore international exchange cooperation plans.


Key officials from the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education’s International Education Center and the Local Government Personnel Department will accompany this exchange cooperation.


Meanwhile, the Director of the Education Bureau of the Seongnam Office of Education in Gyeonggi Province will accompany the international exchange, sign a memorandum of understanding with the Bellevue School District in Washington State, and jointly promote student-centered educational exchanges at the regional education office level.
