Reflecting Last Year's Popularity, Program to Run Twice This Year
Customized Program for Seniors
Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Seo Tae-won) announced on the 21st that it is recruiting participants for the first session of the 2025 "Strong Joints! Silver Aerobics" program, which is operated to improve the physical strength and leisure activity participation of senior citizens. Reflecting last year's popularity, the program will be held twice this year, in the first and second halves of the year.

The recruitment period is from January 15 to 31, and the target participants are 20 seniors aged 60 and above. The program will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, from February 4 to July 24, on the 2nd floor of the Gapyeong-gun Health Promotion Center. Applications can be made by phone through the Gapyeong-gun Public Health Center or the Gapyeong-gun Sports Association.
This program is led by instructor Jeong Da-woon from the Gapyeong-gun Sports Association and is designed to teach aerobic movements, strengthen muscles, prevent dementia, and alleviate depression. Reflecting the high satisfaction of last year's participants, the program will be operated twice a week, divided into the first and second halves of the year.
A representative from the Gapyeong-gun Public Health Center stated, "In line with the aging society, we will do our best to discover customized programs suitable for seniors and improve the quality of life of our residents," adding, "The interest and applications from children will greatly help in enhancing the health of the elderly."
