Optimized 3D Gaming Experience... Launch Scheduled for Late March
Samsung Electronics is partnering with game company Nexon Korea and Nexon's subsidiary Neople to develop three-dimensional (3D) gaming technology.
On the 19th, Samsung Electronics announced that it signed a development cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Nexon Korea and Neople to implement Nexon's new game "First Berserker: Kazan" in 3D using the 'Odyssey 3D' gaming monitor, which creates a sense of depth without the need for 3D glasses.

Through this collaboration, "First Berserker: Kazan" will finely adjust the depth of characters and backgrounds to maximize immersion. In boss battle scenes, the depth of the boss character will be enhanced to provide a lifelike effect. In cinematic videos, the focal distance is precisely adjusted to minimize crosstalk (screen overlap) that can occur on 3D screens.
Kim Yong-jae, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business Division, said, "This collaboration will provide a top-tier 3D gaming experience," adding, "We will expand cooperation with various game companies to maximize the immersion of 3D monitors."
Choi Sung-wook, Head of Nexon Publishing Live Division, said, "'First Berserker: Kazan's' unique action and graphics combined with Samsung's 3D technology will offer a new experience to gamers worldwide."

"First Berserker: Kazan" is a hardcore action role-playing game (RPG) starring the general "Kazan," a character from Nexon's representative intellectual property (IP) "Dungeon & Fighter" universe. It will be released simultaneously in Korea and overseas on March 28.
Samsung Electronics' "Odyssey 3D" gaming monitor was first unveiled at CES 2024, the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition, where it won the "Best of Innovation" award in the Gaming & eSports category. It is scheduled to be released sequentially in the global market, starting with its launch in Korea at the end of March.
