Warmblood, Business Agreement for AI-Based Financial Investment Work Efficiency Improvement

Amid growing interest in improving work efficiency through large language models (LLM) and generative AI technology, Wormblood will collaborate with Upstage, which possesses the industry's leading LLM technology, and Professor Kiheon Lee's research team at Yonsei University Underwood International College, which has numerous related research achievements, to develop a comprehensive document automation system used in the financial investment sector.

The three organizations agreed to cooperate in various areas, including ▲ development of an LLM model for document automation in the financial investment field ▲ research and development collaboration for the introduction of generative AI technology in financial investment ▲ integration of document automation features into Wormblood's DealMatch service.

First, the three institutions will begin developing an automated service for financial investment memorandums (IM, Information Memorandum). Wormblood will oversee the research and development process by providing domain knowledge and data based on its expertise in the financial investment sector, and will consider commercializing the automation feature by integrating it into the B2B financial platform 'DealMatch.' Additionally, based on this, they plan to pursue the development of further document automation functions such as for review reports.

Upstage will supply core solutions for enhancing the processing capabilities of numerous financial investment documents based on its proprietary pre-trained LLM technology 'SOLAR' and its document intelligence solution 'Document AI.' These solutions will extract and automatically summarize key content essential to IMs and generate documents. In the long term, Upstage aims to advance document automation by extracting key information from various source data to automatically draft IMs, review reports, and more.

Professor Kiheon Lee's research team at Yonsei University Underwood International College plans to study practical methods for processing the diverse and vast amounts of financial investment document data that constitute IMs. They will design prompt pipelines and research key functions to extract core content from multiple documents, summarize it, and generate documents.

Jo Wonjeong, CEO of Wormblood, stated, "This collaboration with Upstage and Yonsei University Underwood International College will be an important opportunity to accelerate the introduction of AI technology into DealMatch and the financial investment industry." He added, "As DealMatch's capabilities become more advanced, the capital market will rapidly become more efficient, which is expected to reduce social costs."
