Unlimited Classes for 10,000 Won... Guro-gu Supports 'Gangnam Ingong' Course Vouchers

First-Come, First-Served Support for 600 Middle and High School Students

Guro-gu supports the purchase cost of Gangnam-gu Office Internet CSAT Broadcast viewing rights to alleviate the burden of private education expenses.

Gangnam Internet Lectures (Gangnam Ingang), operated by Gangnam-gu, is a service that allows unlimited access to CSAT and school exam preparation lectures by famous instructors for one year with an annual fee of 50,000 KRW.

Since 2021, Guro-gu has partnered with Gangnam-gu to support students so that they only pay a self-contribution of 10,000 KRW to use Gangnam Ingang. For basic livelihood security and lower-income groups, the full cost of the viewing rights is supported.

So far, a total of 1,536 people have used the service, and this year, the related budget has been increased to allow more students to benefit, expanding the support target from 500 last year to 600 this year.

High school students can take courses in six subjects: Korean, English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, and Entrance Exam preparation. Middle school students can take six subjects: Korean, English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, and Coding.

The advantage is that students can conveniently take lectures anytime and anywhere that suit them, and they can listen repeatedly to parts they do not understand without limit.

Any student residing in Guro-gu, attending middle or high school within Guro-gu, or retaking the exam can apply. Applications started earlier this month and will close once 600 applicants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those wishing to apply can fill out the application form on the Guro Learning Support Center website and pay the self-contribution fee of 10,000 KRW. After verifying the applicant’s eligibility, the viewing rights will be granted.
