Affect is showing strength. It is interpreted to be influenced by the news that not only Micron but also Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix's GDDR7 will be included in NVIDIA's new products.
As of 1:31 PM on the 8th, Affect is trading at 2,830 KRW, up 14.81% compared to the previous day.
According to the industry, Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, stated, “Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are our largest suppliers, and (regarding only Micron being mentioned as the memory supplier for NVIDIA's next-generation PC graphics processing unit (GPU) in the 'CES 2025' keynote) I think I was not accurate. It's not a very important matter.”
Earlier on the 6th, CEO Huang introduced the GDDR7 memory performance of NVIDIA's next-generation PC GPU RTX50 series, stating that it is equipped with Micron's GDDR7 with a bandwidth of 1.8 terabytes (TB) per second. This raised concerns that Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix might have failed to supply memory.
However, according to the industry, the next-generation PC GPU RTX50 series is known to be equipped with GDDR7 from Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and Micron. GDDR7 DRAM has been developed not only by Micron but also by Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, the first and second largest companies in the memory semiconductor market. In particular, Samsung Electronics was identified as the company that supplied the most GDDR products related to NVIDIA.
Meanwhile, Affect primarily operates in semiconductor manufacturing-related testing and engineering services. Especially since last year, it has been expanding its market through the full-scale mass production of DDR5 and GDDR6 testing and diversification of DDR5 packaging products.
