On the 2nd, Yonhap News quoted the Salvation Army, reporting, "On the 29th of last month, a young woman who visited the charity kettle at Gyeongbokgung Station in Seoul donated 15 million won." According to the report, the woman placed three bundles of 100 bills of 50,000 won each, tied with a band labeled "Bank of Korea," into the kettle. She also sent a handwritten letter along with it.

The letter read, "I am happy to be able to donate like this on my 30th birthday," and "For the past 30 years, I have received God's grace and love abundantly despite having no qualifications. I want to live the rest of my life sharing the love I have received."

She wrote, "In this era full of anxiety and conflict, I pray that Korea becomes a warm society that first cares for those who live the hardest," and "I express my gratitude to the Salvation Army staff who serve as a bridge between donors and neighbors in need."

At the end of the letter, there was only the date December 29, 2024, the words "from Seoul," and a red heart drawn, with no information that could identify the donor.

Meanwhile, regarding the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster that occurred at Muan International Airport on the 29th of last month, the Salvation Army has been sending a dining car since the 31st to provide meals for 1,000 people daily for the bereaved families. The dining car is scheduled to operate until the 4th of this month.
